First I'll like to say hi to you all here at the neogeo forums. I've been reading the forum for a long time and now just decide to get in to neo.I decide to go with a supergun seeing as I can get more games for better prices, but first i have a few questions

1. Is a supergun just plug up and play (i.e. just like a regular console) and is there some techincal information i need to know?

2. Are superguns VGA compatible( i.e. i can play on my computer moniter) ?

3. Which are the best ones out there, and where do i buy one/getone made?

4.and is there any other info i should know before buying?

....thanks in advance and see you guys around.

1. Pretty much - you do have to get a board though.

2. I think that's an option, yes.

3. Not sure what the best ones are - and I'm not really sure if they're still being sold through any stores. Keep an eye out on the selling forums and on ebay.

4. Yeah - a supergun setup isn't known for its aesthetic appeal.

Is MAS Systems still in business? There web site is still up and running but I noticed that it hasn't been updated since ~5/11/2001. Anyone know?

Thank guys for all the information, is the Supernova VGA compitible?

Nope, the Super Nova only has S-video and composite video out on the unit itself. However you can use RGB from the jamma harness and there are some boards that have VGA out like the Atomiswave.

Sounds like you should beable to atleast use an Svideo input on your computer graphics card if it has one to play it on a vga monitor.. Though if your talkin about a regular arcade cabnit then.. heh. wouldnt know.. i'd call and ask them.. Maybe they can add that VGA out, dont rely on email communication cause there so busy they never check it.
