LOL!

I never really felt the need to say " there's a sucker born every minute" but honestly, it rings so true regarding that auction.

"Go Sluggah! Go Sluggah! Go Sluggah!"

Yep. sad isn't it.
Anyway, this is simply one auction. I don't think that the price will automatically go to $400+

Holy shitake mushrooms

I bought it brand new for $225 :D

and I don't plan parting ways with it unless I'm really in a pinch.

If any game deserves to have an inflated price, it has to be MS 3.

I made a mistake of leting one go.

Now that I've got another one back, I won't part with it again.

Graahh! I had that friggin game. Bought it brand new, but just sold it a few months ago because I also bought a new japanese version when they were released. Maybe it is time to stop selling carts for a while, you just never know what is going to happen.

I'm not sure it was just a bidding war becsue there were alot of bidders.

Well, if the "this site is called Neo-Geo.com, so we can´t talk about anything else boo-hoo" guys have their way, yeah. But not everybody is that narrow-minded...

I would believe you Tonk if it wasn't for the buyers history.

Checking the buyers history confirms that, slug fever, it appears, has only infected ebayer rocket267.

Wherever you are out there rocket, thanks...for making my slugs more valuable!

I'd be pretty hesitant about selling my rare US games at this point - they all seem to be on the rise.

Hmm, I traded Shawn some MVS games I got for $150 for his new Metal Slug 3 (which was $235 at the time) when he had over 100 in stock. I guess he wanted to move them. In the end it seems that I got the better deal. I didn't think that it would go as high as $455 though. Actually, the 29 bids placed on the auction is what drove the price up. The guy who won it must have put a max bid of $500 (or something) and the second guy wanted it for $450 tops. So the second guy who did not win the auction got it up that high. You may be seeing this game hit $600 or more by the end of the year. Metal Slug 2 English didn't used to go for over $500 a couple of years ago but who knows what it will go for these days. Many people laugh at those who will pay $1,000 for it but it may be very common to see that game go for $1,500 sooner or later. We will see what happens.
