Hi people,

I'm having serious color bleeding problems (red) in my Sega Saturn.

I'm using a S-V cable with RCA adaptor (my TV doesn't have S-V input). I don't think that's the proble, since when I was using a RF switch I had the same problem.

Any suggestions?

buy a s-video tv, it should solve it. and all your games will look SO much better.

Of course, it WILL look better, but With my other videogames, including the NGCD and a AES, it isn't happens.

You may want to try adjusting the color settings on your television set. If the red still bleeds, it may be a sign of age on your set. My advice would be connecting your saturn into another television set to see if your results differ any.

If you get the same results, it could be your connection cables. Different cables, along with other accessories can be ordered at http://www.sega-parts.com

Well, it can be the cables, the s-v and th rf cables are third parties...

But it's not my tv for sure. It's a very new model (but somewhat 'economic' model), and my Gamecube, N64, and Neos works flawlessly on it. I had changed my tv settings, but it isn't worked.

Can't it be something in the Saturn video output (old resistors or something?)

You've got me there. My only other suggestion would be to clean the contacts of your cables. Using 70% Isopropyl Alcohol(Standard rubbing alcohol) and a cotton swab or Q-tip should be fine for the contacts of the cable. Also take a look at the back of the Saturn at that indent circle where the connector is and make sure it's free of debris.

If the problem persists after that, it may be something internal with the system. If it gets to that point, my knowledge is exausted. Still, to give yourself the benefit of the dobut, you should still check the system on another television, regardless of age...it may just be a fluke.

I use a saturn s-video cable on my few year old sony wega. the reds and bleeding sucked so bad it has compelled me to get an rgb monitor just for my saturn. Truth be told, if I wasn't playing my other systems in component rgb it wouldn't be such an annoyance- but it pisses me off nonetheless.

Considering that the s-video cable you have is probably 3rd party, and thats going through a converter is likely the reason for the excessive bleeding.
