I got my CPS II a+B combo today....

I get mononaural sound from the Jamma Connector but I don't get any sound out of the RCA jacks.

Is there some type of switch/setting to enable the stereo sound?

Is the stereosound speaker or line level?

You have to set it to stereo in the config menu.
The output is very weak so it needs to amplified.

I have mine amplifyed through my stereo deck, you could also try using your TV too. Just get some standard RCA male to RCA male, and plug it in to like your AUX input, or tape input or just RCA input.

Capcom made a dedicated amp for use in a cab but you can also hook it up to a TV or stereo. Just crank the volume all the way up on the CPS2 mobo.

Make sure the sound volume is not to low. There are 2 buttons on the side of the a board to adjust this.

I'll add that there are also positions for volume adjust on the auxiliary harness if you are so inclined to wire buttons to them.

I turned it all the way up... It works tho quite muffled.

Can anyone recomend any type of preamp to get each channel to decent Aux/headphone levels.

I am also interested in getting stereo sound out of my cps2 setup inside of my cab....

any info would be appreciated...

can I just make some rca cords and hook it to the speakers and then turn it to stereo in the menu?

I read about the other buttons for volume....and it would be really nice to have volume adjust on the side of the cab or somthing...

you still need to amp the sound if using it on a cab......

I am going to try purchasing two 12v audio amps and see how they work.

The output of the A board is only line level. It's meant to be amplified before running to speakers. Hence the Q-Sound amp.

well, I just turned it to mono and pumped up the volumn and it sounds so much better! I am sure stereo would sound better, as it does on the mvs, but I can hear the birds when I knock them dizzy and the game sounds so much better now.

anyways...someday I may go the way of the amp, but for now, I am cool with this.
