Hi I have recently bought to db15 male-female cables for use with an aes and cd machines.
One of the leads works perfectly, but the other one the c button doesn't work. I have tried using the other machine port and other joypads and sticks and still doesn't work.
Can someone tell me which of the 15 pins corresponds to the c button (I couldn't get onto the sites from previous posts)? Also how can I test the lead to make sure a new lead works so I could get the retailer to send a working replacement?

Hope someone can help

The troubles with gamesx.com should be resolved in about 24 hours, and shortly thereafter I'll be moving the site to a host that doesn't tell me "Oh, we're aware of the problem, we were going to tell you." and "Yeah, uh, can you move all your contents to this other server and test it?"

...

What am I paying these idiots for?

In the meantime, check here for your neo pinout needs:

Sorry I meant pin 12 is faulty (I was discussing at the time why there was 2 d buttons) Any ideas of how to fix pin 12? Is it possible to realign the metal contacts on pin 12 in the lead?

Given the cost of the cable, just replace it. There's no way to know if it's in the connector or a broken wire somewhere between the two ends. For $5 I wouldn't bother with a repair, and it's not like they're rare.
