Yup, I posted a similar message a week or so ago in General...

Let us know how you like it!

adapter.

if you have the patience and can get around VERY poorly written and illustrated instructions it is okay...NOT great. many steps are left omitted from the instruction which required taking it apart and tinkering with the asembly...worth about $20.00...no more...on the plus side it does offer protection to the pc board....

Do you think you could describe the assembly steps? Is there any soldering or electronics work required?

assembly

1) no soldering or electronics are involved.
2)if you attempt to follow the instructions/illustrations you might throw the stuff out due to frustration.
3) start by following the dis-assembly instructions.
4)when asked to replace the 8 screws with the hex-nut spacers, you MUST use the nut you just removed as an additional spacer for re-assembly.
5)DO NOT USE A NEEDLE NOSE PLIERS on side 'a' to grip the spacer. it is too easy to cause damage/scratching. i substituted a mini-hex nut driver but a small pliers will function better.
6) use a washer and lock washer as additional spacers on the opposite side.
7) before attaching the protectors (clear lucite) feel the bottom edges...sharp aren't they. i wet block sanded the edges smooth...takes about a minute.
8) take the screws that attach the protectors to a electrical parts store and try to find a substitute that has more of a flat head...as the round head screws may/will scratch the cartridge opening.
9) be VERY careful when working with the PHANTOM1 so as not to scratch the surface.
IMO this is a good product that with a little more effort in design and instruction and parts could have become a great product that every PHANTOM1 owner must purchase.
