Look at the last numbers of US home carts:

RotD: 93% of original stock sold (only 16 carts left!)
Metal Slug 3: 80% of original stock sold (400 carts!)
Metal Slug 4: 71% of original stock sold
KoF `01: 66% of original stock sold

Only remaining "shelf sitter" is Sengoku 3.

This is GREAT news for new US AES releases in the future! If I was you I`d get my RotD now before it`s too late :D

Sengoku 3 sucks... and way to go ROTD... You know, I don't mind Sengoku 3 as long as it can be seen as a crash course in the neo for Noise. They have been doing some great work, and NPI looks to be shaping up nicely... Crossing my fingers... and also impressed by some of those numbers for the Neo store...

Retaliator, I like the way you look at things. Instead of seeing overstock, you see the high percentage of moved stock. It will be interesting to see what the percentages are up to one year from now.

Here are the accurate figures btw (you were close):

RotD: 94.7% of 300 pieces sold
Metal Slug 3: 80% of 500 pieces sold
Metal Slug 4: 75.25% of 400 pieces sold
KoF `01: 70.7% of 590 pieces sold (90 Japanese)

Sengoku 3 only had 74 preorders, but over time nearly half of the original 500 US pieces has sold thus far. Instead of glass half full, glass is now half empty. :)

I'm glad you're doing well Shawn I'm sure that although your prices are a bit high, buyers are assured great packaging good communication, and a product that is as stated. Unlike dealings on eBay...scary. It's just that little bit extra that most should be willing to pay for reassurance that their good are what they want.

I just don't get the hate for Sengoku 2001 - or maybe not hate, but the way people treat it like it's a crap game.

There are only two logical gripes one could have about the game:
enemy variety and background depth.

background depth is indeed a problem, but during gameplay and in latter stages, I hardly notice it.

enemy variety improves when you raise the difficulty to 8.

After that, it's a damn good game, with an awesome soundtrack, and some really incredible sprites.

As much as I want to like it, I just can't... it is just to dull and nothing new for me. The enemy variety was the nail in the coffin for me... but I have yet to try it on level 8. How does that change things? Do you see more enemies, are they different/new... color swapped? I am intrigued by this fact... As for the backgrounds, my only real gripe is they barely scroll. Just a little, but you are basically fighting on static scenes over and over... Everything looks really good, but it plays like a dog.

Then again, to each their own, and I know tons of people like it... and I can accept that my opinion is the minority, I just can't get into that game at all,

Mmmh... I would just say Shawn's (NeoStore) prices for new releases are nothing like 'high'.

Very 'in the market' on the release date, and usually lowered a bit in case of sitting stock.

As for brand new items, I think that's totally nice.

Just my 2cents anyway. :)

Couldn't have said it better myself.
While not a ground breaking title, Sengoku 3 is hardly the horrible game that some make it out to be. The animation is great and as EW said the soundtrack is awsome. The backgounds are a little flat and the enemies do get repettive, but for one of Noise Factory's first Neo ventures, Sengoku 3 is a pretty solid game.

Hopefully not "only" out of yours. I´m sure, the saga hasn´t been finished yet - neither in the hearts of the fans nor in the "creative" heads of Playmore. Let´s pray for it... drool

i ordered metal slug 3 from the neo store and i got it within 3 days here in England, my only gripe is that parcel force over here charged me an extra £20 for clearence costs...rip off Britain strikes again!!!, but all in all the game only cost £180 with postage charges, not bad when you consider it be prob worth a small fortune in 10 years, and its 1 of the best neo games anyway, As for Sengoku 3 i really like it in the arcade, didnt realise the neo store was selling out so fast i think i best order it quick.

You know the more great stuff I hear about Metal Slug 3, the more I'm feeling that I should buy it.

I've only played MS1 in an arcade many years ago, and have no idea how improved MS3 is over all the others.

And look, the English AES store is down to 2 pages! This is good and bad at the same time. I think we all know why.
