Don't you love it when you entrust someone with your money just to find out that he / she is a thief? God... what the hell is this world coming to? You have a PM, btw.

Ruining chat was one thing, but scamming people is another.

Hey,

I know how you feel. I have just recently been scammed $1450US by one "omegagouki" aka Aaron Foster on these forums. I sent him the money just under a month ago for $1450US AES games purchase that was meant to be shipped via EMS.

First he told me he had sent it via EMS and gave me a tracking number that never even existed....then he tells me he sent it via AIR and that I should have it within a week - that was like 2 weeks ago.

I haven't even heard back from him in like 2 weeks and I have emailed him on numerous occasions, yet with no reply.

The thing is I pre-sold 3 of the AES carts I was getting for $550US for 2 and the one for $450US so I had to refund that to the buyers ontop of the $1450US I have lost. I am out of pocket $2450US! I have also had to sell some of my prized collection pieces (US MS3, Garou JP, ROTD US) to help compensate such a large loss.

My advice is go through PAYPAL. Luckily for you it is ebay sanctioned so you have a chance of getting your $ back. As for me mine was not over ebay so my chances are slim at best.

I hope things go well for you though - good luck:buttrock:

...as for me though:(

Sorry to hear you were scammed too, but honestly that was not a very smart move. Don't sell stuff you dont have in your posession.

I agree with you on the pre-selling bit. Although up until recently I had pre-sold many items and then shipped them when they were in my hands - Without a single problem.

Unfortunately there are alot of people out there who are scumbags so I have now learnt never to do that again.

You absolutely have to do the following.

Make direct contact with the other people that were recently scammed. The three of you (or you as coordinator) need to contact the police in CHI. You see, what this perosn has done is ragarded as racketeering.

Essentially, he intentionally set out to defraud you, the buyers, and because he did it to multiple people, it comes under the heading of racketeering. Here's the good part.

Racketeering is felony. You can take this guys life and completely fuck him, and let me say having been in a similar situation, I took great pleasure in putting the thumbscrews to a scammer.

Get with the police, provide them every bit of info you can (print the auction, print paypal transaction, print the emails) and once you are working with an investigator, try your damndest to get him every shred you can muster. You know who the scammer is already, so your battle is almost won right out of the gate.

You can crucify this guy, and for $1450 I'd show up with a whole bucket of nails were I you.

This guy appears to be one of those catalog sellers,a middle man who sells stuff he does'nt have in his possession!:oh_no:

For 2 grand,I'd be taking a trip.and PROOF as to who I am and what I am doing in that part of Chicago.
As far as the member who paid somebody 1450 for a promise...you should have asked for refs..someone should have dealt with him or her here.. OR you could have sent the money to maybe a SAFE HAVEN US member ike myself to handle the transaction.
I would have did my homework on this character before giving him sh8t! The least hat could happen is you would have been refunded your original 1450 USD

Hey man, he did have some references however I was unlucky enough to miss out reading this thread before I had paid him: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83423

All I can do is hope now that PAYPAL has my back on this - but knowing them I will get screwed again and will be out of pocket $1450US+ while this bloke is laughing his ass off at me.

Im sorry to hear about this.

Please keep us updated though, and RyoGeo is exactly on the right track, good advice from him.

In the meantime, if you want to cheer up, try to find yourself a copy of eddie murphy 'raw'. its stand up comedy. Seriously, i was having SUCH a bad day and it made me :glee:

Good luck.

So you refunded the money your buyers sent you, and are out of pocket $1450, not $2450? :spock:

prosper1ne: take RyoGeo's advice. Racketeering, mail fraud, probably other crimes unmentioned, and you have basically everything you need to prove it -including whom and where he is. Motivation being the only variable here I for one hope you contact the other eBay members and take him to town. Theft is too much of personal violation to ignore.

If you're not premium account holder then you have a low credit line. Then how can you lose $2000?

This sounds very strange to me :spock: :spock:

Thread Moved... merchandise/scam does not seem to be Neo Geo related. Account on eBay is not a registered user.

... here's a bit-o-history ...

Linky

I do hope that you are able to get the situation resolved. That said, you were not the most friendly eBay Seller in the World...

Scams suck. Contact PayPal. Contact eBay. Contact the appropriate Police Department. Maybe the dude just ships s-l-o-w-l-y... Did you pay for confirmation and insurance?

For anything more than what I am willing to lose, and generally I'm not willing to lose any more than $20, I always use my CC through PayPal. If PayPal won't refund me, my CC company will.

Hopefully you'll either get your shit, or get your money back (both people who were scammed).

Just what I was going to say!
Paypal are next to useless, but CC companies are normally right up for a fight!
SO my advise would be to get straight onto your CC company and ask their advice/help.

Oh, and bloody good luck to you mate!
Hope you get it all sorted asap.

Man, I really hope this works out for you :( Having dealt with you I know that you are an honest guy, and I hate to see this happening to you.

I feel especially bad b/c I am experiencing some difficulty with a member on this site myself right now. It is getting real close to the time where I go public with it. Hopefully it doesn't come to that though :(

Anyway, good luck bud, I hope it works out.

Q-

P.S.- Where the hell is Sonny?
