Yeah so I'm tired of not being able to get a rgb monitor for cheap, so I'm just going to go to wells gardner and pick up a 19 or 25 inch cga monitor. I can make a housing for it, so that's no prob.

The problem is I it doesn't have a regular plug- i guess it's meant to be wired to the arcade power supply.

I don't have a cab and am going the supergun route, so what is the safest and easiest way to go about doing this? I read something about having to use an isolation transformer or something, but the k7400 manual at wellsgardner.com says it doesn't need it.

Well, when I wired my DK cab, I used a "power distribution block" that basically takes the AC power coming in from your wall outlet and distributes it to the various parts of the machine (Monitor, power supply, marquee light, and the on/off switch). That's one way to approach the problem. Bob Robert's site has a great page that gives a good idea of the basics of wiring a game. http://www.dameon.net/BBBB/buildit.html

There could be a different/easier way to do this, but I can't tell you off hand. Anyway, that's how I supplied the power to my monitor. The only diff is that you won't have to go through the iso transformer, but instead just go from the distribution block to the monitor. I know you want to build a super gun, but this info should still be useful. Good luck.

As a side note, the monitor I used in my DK cab was purchased from Happ Controls. It came with a regular power plug that I could have used, but I wanted only one plug for the entire machine.
