Favorite kof 2000 combos

Help me out here, I'm begining to enjoy this title once again. I seem to cycle through games every so often.

Lets Begin:

Takuma: flying kick (charge db, f+k), haohshoken (3 hits) knock down

K': qcf+a;d(juggle) then qcb+b/d 3 hits) knock down

I know it's not much, however I'm starting to begin my combo journey. I usually prefer tactics to combos, however my attitiude is beginning to shift.

Somone please give me some advice for Maxima; the faqs I've read have been little to no help.

Ryo with Rugal as a striker:

Do Ryo's "rolling throw" and after the first bounce call in Rugal and he does his genocide cutter then juggle with a kyokugen isatsu.

Not the most hits but deffinetly flashy to pull off in a fight.

Sweet, who do I select to get Rugal as a striker?


Also: striker madness

select Ralph as a striker so you can pick Yashiro

With Vanessa, pull off your super (qcb,hcf+a I believe)[the one that has all the multiple hits] right after you summon yashiro. Tons of hits and brutal damage. :eek:

Yashiro and Joe are the cheesiest strikers in the game.

Uhg...It's been so long since I've played 2000 I forgot how to select Rugal.

And actually I think you have to call Rugal out when your opponent hits the ground (I mean right as they hit) after the throw.

I used to do this one a while using Blue Mary with Jae Hoon as the Striker:

1 - Vertical Arrow + Vertical Arrow followup
2 - call Jae Hoon for electric kick attack (juggle)
3 - repeat

the timing is a bit tricky at first but once you get it right, this disgusting trick is just dripping with cheese...

EDIT: I believe "another strikers" are unlocked by holding START, up, left x3, right x3, down [only on eligible characters of course]...the new striker should now appear

Takuma:

Jump in D, Standing C, Toward+A, Haoshokoken

Jump in D, Crouching C, Flying Kick (charge down-back, towards+D), Zanretsuken (toward back towards + C) Call joe striker, qct, qct+ AC =23 hit combo.

OR the above combo instead of 2xqct+AC do C, qct, HCB+C for 32 hit combo.

Kyo and Another Iori

Corner opp,

Jump in dwn+C, sC, hcf d,d, hcb b, call another iori (immediately when the hcb b connects)
hcf d,d, hcb b, Orochinagi SDM.

The idea is to corner them, another iori hits the opp from the corner side, you then juggle them to the other side.
This is pretty damaging and a sweet set up.

I found this while practicing.

Kyo and Ryo.

jC, sC hcf d, d, hcb b, qcf a, qcf a, *Ryo* hcf d, d, hcb b, qcf a qcf a, *ryo* repeat.

Vanessa Joe inf

jC, sC, fwd+a, qcf c, call joe, repeat.

I heard about it awhile ago.

Magnaflux, make sure you check gamefaq's, hebretto has some excellent striker stuff there.

Be aware that many of these are escapable. I found this out from remu a long ass time back. All they gotta do is recovery roll.
Any inf that involves a fallen opp is not a true inf.

Vanessa with Yashiro as striker:

c. C -> f+A -> striker call after first hit -> Machine Gun Puncher C
(tap C for max number of hits) -> taunt (for style points :cool: )

Kula with Another Iori as striker:

c. C -> f+A -> Crow Bites C -> striker call -> Freeze Execution
(takes careful timing, though)

Iori with Lilly as striker:

Kuzukaze -> striker call -> Aoi Hana or DM Ya Otome

My favourite is still with Kyo + Rugal, and nearly impossible to pull off.

Jumping double axe handle (down+C), standing C, qcfX2+C (call in Rugal half-way through, so he hits right after you do), Orochinagi + C. Quite damaging and so quick and smooth, it's almost more for style points.

Normally after a Genocide Cutter you can juggle with Kai + D,D then Orochinagi, however I never tried it in the above combo, partially because during the GC you are still partially stuck in the DM stance and the Kai is never that quick to come out. But experiment as you like.

true, didnt realised it, because I only do these combos in practice mode.

I know a certain somebody who is a whore with the Yashiro/Vanessa team.

I might add Shingo is a comical striker along with fio. Calling fio is good for one last hit.

Maxima/shingo style grab strikers seem to only work with human opponents.
