I think it's a state's rights issue. There shouldn't be a consisutional amendment as the states are more than capable of regulating it for themselves and the federal govenrment can spend its time on more important things. What's your position?

You make me fucking sick. Bigots should be shot. You should fucking respect people based on who they are, not who they like.

Homosexuals are just like everyone else just with a different sexual preference. Bush trying to make a constitutional ammendment pisses off most people, including even some of the most tight assed people. It's not a question of whether or not gay marriages should be recognized, its a question of whether or not the federal government should have the right to judge who we can and cannot be married to.

Don't worry, that was just a joke. Rade has expressed his opinions in many other threads and is definitely like that, though too many here are.

As for my opinion, homosexuals are no different than anybody else and should have the same rights as anyone else, including the right to marry and raise children.

Not all of it. Large portions of the New Testament are found to have been recorded as few as 24 to 36 months after the death of Christ by the very people in his presence. Not nearly enought time to be considered "handed down stories", and no where near enough time to build up beyond a point of having a solid core of historical truth.

Also alot of that site is quoted out of context and therefore irrelevent.

My stance is that all are equal. If not allowed to "marry" than an equal status of a different name should be given as marriage is defined by the union of a man and woman. Other than the title of marriage all other rites included with the title should be granted indiscriminatly.

I agree on portions of the New Testament. I just like to make broad sweeping generalizations

it requires less typing. And a lot of the Bible's events can be historically proven but that doesn't mean that bias and exagerration doesn't exist in the minds of the penholders. Students of history of the ancient world will know that those who recorded 'Histories' were often not your regular Joe's. So of course these are going to reflect kindly on your king or employer. None of this is meant to offend, as of course it is my belief, beliefs are good, and I encourage you to hold your own. But I'll argue with them too

Um try 100 to 300 years afterwards. Mathew Mark Luke and John were at the earliest 150 years, Mark Luke and John were written MUCH later than Mathew, and are almost identical because its the only source they had.

Not to mention all the uncanonized books.
