Hello everyone, I have a question. I'm just starting to get into the whole arcade scene as I have just won a NEO GEO off of ebay. What I'm wondering is, if there are any tutorials or basic manuals out there that could teach me the insides of the NEO GEO? I'd like to eventually put my own together. If anyone can throw some suggestions my way or help at all, I'd be most appreciative! Thanks!

Did you win an arcade cabinet or did you win an AES system?

What do you mean by "put my own together"? Specifically what kind of machine would you like to learn how to build?

I won a full-size neo geo arcade. It has only one slot and is a little beat up, but the game works well and I figured, for the low price I won it at, it would be a good project to help me learn about these systems.

What I meant by "put one together," is that eventually, after aquiring enough knowledge and know-how, I'd like to purchase an empty cabinet and the necessary parts to put together a nice 6-slot arcade. If this is even possible. Again, I am ignorant to this scene. I figured I could find some info here.

I have not yet went to pick up this neo geo, so I cannot answer questions specific to the arcade's insides. I will have the unit in my house this coming Monday. But still, any info or chat regarding these systems is more than welcome. I really appreciate it! Thanks all.

Quick question, can these arcades be put on their side? I was going to pick it up in a mini-van, but just thought about the fact that it might not be a good idea to put it on its side. Would I be better off getting a truck so I can transfer it upright?

Yes, you can transport it on its side. I had my MK2 cab laying on its back in a pickup truck. Just make sure that the stuff on the inside is secure and you'll be fine.
