MVS cartridge question

What is the purpose of having different colored cartridges?

The reason I ask is because I have a blue Bust a move again EX cartridge, and I have never seen another blue one anywhere. They all seem to be black. I have the full kit including large marquee and the label on the cart is origonal so I'm guessing mine is legit.

The MVS carts were never meant to be exposed to the naked eye, but housed in cabinets, so I'm just wondering what the deal is with different colored cartridges.
