Classic streetpunk/oi band - songs like "Violent Society," "Colchester Council," "Bullshit Crass," etc. Mark Brennan's label Captain Oi rereleased a lot of their older singles. "Bullshit Crass you've been detected / We'll free the punks that you've infected!" Great and classic band.

The Duties had a relatively big single in the early 80s called "Bullshit Crass" - they and a lot of other streetpunk and oi bands brought out a lot of material against Crass Records and peace-punk in general. "Bullshit Crass" is THE classic anti-Crass song.

To most people in the streetpunk/skin scene at the time (and now), Crass were hippies. Crust/anarcho/peace punk never mixed much with streetpunk/oi in the early 80s, although Crass's old material was always different (for example, The Business covering "Do They Owe Us a Living?").

Hey, I agree with you. I've always loved Crass, and all related bands (Conflict, Flux of Pink Indians, etc). The skin scene never liked anarcho material though, and still doesn't. Crass has historically always been the whipping boy of the streetpunk scene from the early 80s onwards.

Street punk to me was always about beer, Bondage pants, and screaming out oi! like a retard.
