Hello,

I just had a quick question, some may think its a stupid question but i dont know, im sure it may be possible two do...Can anyone make a 2 slot consolized mvs board but mod it so that one of the slot uses an aes cart and the other an mvs cart...? If so, get to me w/ a pm immediately and we will work a deal...

That would be really cool - although I don't see how it could be done. I guess you could change the cartridge slot easy enough, but I think the 2-slot board would be wired only to accept MVS cart slots. I could be wrong though - and I'd like to know the answer to this.

This has been discussed a lot of times, make a search. It would require a very complex modification, as the pin-outs are totally different , so it would be much more feasible to make an inverse phantom adapter (that is, a AES->MVS adaptor).

I always thought about putting an AES motherboard inside of a two slot case. I'd try to find a way to raise it up off of the 2 slot board.

Then you could use a switch to switch between AES and MVS mode.

But I thnk that would be a waste of an AES and MVS machine.

What is the purpose of playing an AES game on MVS hardware?

It is possible to modify the hardware to work with the AES games, but is it even worth paying for?

What AES game do you want to play on MVS hardware: SvC Chao's?:spock:

i think the draw is just based on the ability to play both types on one board.....

and not having it be a money saving (phantom) type project....

imo

what ngt said is correct...It saves space and i like aes games because of the art. I dont want to deal w/ hunting down shockbox after shockb0ox and then a damn insert, so i can have the best of both worlds in one...

Complex indeed seeing as MVS uses 240 connectors on the cart compared to 200 on the AES (I guess some of the extras are common)
