Best deal on rare game you ever got

I thought of this when I did a post on the dreamcast love topic. If you read my post you saw I bought a pretty much brand new 3rd strike for the dc for 5 bucks I mean it has no scratches and everything is there. But I think my ultimate find was also at Record Exchange but instead of 3rd strike I found a Castlevania:SOTN for 5 bucks and it was perfect!!!! So let's hear your best finds and also where it was and how cheap.

Original release of Lunar: Silver Star Story for PSone,
normally priced $60, sold at Target for $30 (the game
itself being a Christmas gift request).

Price for the re-release of the game, which doesn't
come with any of the extras of the original: $40 MSRP

No really unbelieveable deals. I've found Suikuden for $20.00 at Rhino games, but it's without case and manual.

I live for the day I find a bubble-gum style vending machine filled with NGPC carts. Just put in your $0.50, turn the crank, and get a new game.

Not that it'll ever happen, but that's my dream.

A person from another board works for nintendo, and I guess they have a garage sale type thing every year. I sent him 30 bucks and told him to get whatever. I wound up getting a box full of nes and snes games, a few other random items, and a sealed Speed Racer/Mtn Bike Rally for snes. I guess it's rare as hell, because I sold it for about $350.

I've got quite a few bargains over the years...

here are a few I can remember:

Captain Commando for the ps1, totally mint for £15
Warsong and a Jap Alisia Dragoon cart for £1 each
I found a complete English Terranigma in Crete for only 10 Euro
Castlevania XX / Vampire's Kiss, complete for £12
Gaiares, Jap mint for £1.25

I'd trade them all for just a few more...:-)

Love these topics because I always thought it was BS until it happened to me.

Rondo of Blood $60.

Buy it now off of Ebay. It was listed under Saturn Nocturn in the Moonlight but had a pic of Rondo. I took a chance since $60 wasn't too bad of a price if it turned out to be Nocturn. Added bonus: It had the spine card and buy it now included shipping.

$10 SFIII: TS

When the Capcom website sold all remaining DC games for 10 a piece, I bought up a bunch of them, including TS.

Snatcher and Shining Force CD (Sega CD).........TWO FUCKING BUCKS A PIECE BOTH COMPLETE.!!!! And I recall digging out 2 dollars in change around my bedroom when I saw my Sega CD was back up and running then used that and whatever I had left.
