Just wondered if anyone knew the best way to remove a cart sticker without damaging it and can it be reapplied or is it basically ruined after the removal process if peeled off?

Use a solvent of some kind, lighter fluid or something should work well, why on earth would you want to remove a cart label though?

I have a mint cart w/no cart sticker for some unknown reason and I have another of same title in only very good condition with the cart sticker that I need which is missing off my mint copy.

no cart sticker because it was a conversion... when it was sold, before ms5 was released.... no one ever seen the insert back then

Hair-dryer!?!?! Oh no!

For god's sake, use Goo-Gone. No heat, and get's the job done perfectly.

Goo-Gone is said to be the best way, but rubbing alcohol usually works for me.

But I don't want to damage the sticker. I don't know why my mint cart doesn't have a sticker when it comes complete with a manual and case otherwise. I would like to transfer the sticker from the same title cart that is a lesser condition which has scuffs to the unstickered mint cart which is not a conversion

the hair dryer will heat up the goo and it will lift up perfectly fine with no damage to the sticker if you do it right.

I second the hair dryer. Always worked like a charm on any stickers I needed to move.

You must definately use a hair dryer, set on HOT but low air flow, if you want to save the sticker. Using Alcohol or GooGone has better results but it destroys whatever it removes.

I've removed and replaced home cart stickers before and a hair dryer does indeed do the job. However it is quite easy to make a mess of the sticker if parts of the adhesive get left behind during removal. If this happens it is difficult to re-apply the sticker without it having bubbles / wrinkles.

I'd think about it carefully before giving it a shot.

Thanks for all the input, I am hesitant to touch it because I don't want 2 carts without stickers but may try the hair dryer approach if I am feeling risky........which brings me back to my original question of why someone would remove a cart sticker from a mint cart anyways?

If you are inexperienced,I would recommend that you experiment with some cheapo bare carts 1st.,then still... there are no gaurantees because it could be that particular cart you want to remove the sticker from gives yousome abnormal probs..

No, you are wrong, this is a RARE JAPANESE CART and I have 2 copies of it now, one in Very Good - Excellent Condition Complete with original case and insert and one MINT Complete also with original insert ..but without the cart sticker for some UNKNOWN reason...... NO CONVERSION here, but I cannot disclose the source....It was bought from a very REPUTABLE source who would not do that... Sorry.
