Sup dudes?

Is it just me or the jamma harness attached to an MVS 1 slot upright model is smaller than the jamma harness that's attachable to the SVC PCB?

The pins of the SVC pcb are kind of overlapped when inserted in the mvs harness.

Do you know something about that?

Or am I just hallucinating? :annoyed:

It could be that the cab had the jamma/mvs socket replaced at some time with one that has a slightly norrower edge connect socket slot (I discovered this with my supergun project) where some boards mvs or jamma wouldnt quit fit.

You have two options, file each side of the boards connector down, it will only be a couple of mm each side. Or relace the harness edge connect socket. Filing the board will take seconds, replacing the socket is a pain in the butt.

Filing the board is no big deal, you will notice that a lot of boards have had this done. The only thing is if you file too much away the pins and individual socket connections may not line up properly.

The standard jamma edge connect slot is 115 mm wide, some after market jamma sockets are 113 mm.

Taking 1 mm off each side of the board is not a big issue.

The other board that was plugged into your existing socket would have had to have been trimmed this way to fit .

Thanks a lot!!!

Now, the pins on the SVC pcb does not line up correctly with the jamma harness whose edges I sanded to make the pcb fit.

Could this be why my SVC pcb plays with blocky choppy graphics on my mvs cab?

Or is the pcb defective?

If the board edge connect fits snug into the jamma socket I would imagin the pins would have to line up.
If they didnt the effect wouldnt be blocky gfx.
Can you post a pic of the edge connect in the socket (close up) and the on screen gfx problem.
If you dont have a piccy host email them to parry@datec.com.pg
