I want to use a computer PSU for my supergun, cause it's less dangerous for me and from what I hear they are stable.

I want to get a new one, cause I dont want to get some shady one and jeopardize expensive pcbs.

This one is ATX, but it has a power switch. Thats ok for supergun right? it's also a mini atx, so my it's nice and small. I find antec to be reliable, but and open to any suggestions.

I guess my main question is whether or not 150W is enough?

antec 150w psu

The +5 volt rail looks fine, but the -5 and +12 volt rails look a little on the low side. Might want to look for something that can provide atleast 1 amp (more preferred) on the +12 volt.

Also, be aware that you have to wire up an ATX to power up without being attached to an ATX motherboard.

You can find a guide to this HERE!

That guide is nice- it's so easy to get the ATX to power up! Thanks so much!

Is a 250w PSU strong enough for a supergun? What should I look for on the "lines" to find out if it's good enough?

Well, personally I would probably look for something in the 12 to 15 amp on the +5, 2 amp on the +12 and around 1 amp on the -5. Thats similiar to the output you would see on an arcade PSU.

@broken: that PSU supplies 4A on the 12V line.. that's plenty. -5V is rarely used and doesn't draw much power, since it's usually just used for sound boards etc.. it should do fine.

Yeah, I see that now. I was reading the wrong rating when I said that.
