Anybody still play Magic the Gathering?

I'm going through some stuff and throwing away crap I don't need. I came across a Royal Assassin, probably from 4th Edition. If anybody wants it, I'll send it to them. Last time I played it was a $10 card, it may be shit now, I don't know. It's free though. Just PM me your address and I'll throw it in an envelope and mail it out.

Never did like that game. Where I live it was always the Stinky people that played that game. I remember sitting there in Study Hall watching these two Pimple Faced kids wearing dirty sweat pants playing it. The scene was the same down at the coffee house. I played other card games but not that one. My favorite was Snk vs Capcom, but I guess that one dosent count since in America it wasn't a real card game.

I played it from mid to late 90s. Mostly for money. Now that everybody has moved away from each other, I have no use for the game. I thought I had gotten rid of all my cards, but little by little, rares seem to show up out of nowhere. I think I saw an Icy Manipulator around here somewhere. I figure to just give them away.

MTG isn't a bad game, at least it wasn't back in the day. It's very addicting, and you have to be pretty smart to build a decent deck. However, I just don't have time to dick around with this shit anymore.

Some of my friends have played MTG since the beginning. They got me into it october '02 and I'd say every month or two we all get together and play for a day.

But lately, we have been stretching playtimes in spans of 3 months or more. And also about 3 months ago I sold off all my MTG cards on eVille (eBay to u and me) and go figure, a MTG gametime is happenin this saturday with my friends. So now i'm cardless and will prob either borrow a deck or we'll probably do drafts. I really couldn't care actually, as I really suck at the game. Hell i've prob won about 5 games out of 30.

And how many of you really HATE people who use blue decks and counterspell every damn thing you do.

counters are ok

but lately the entire metagame has switched to removal, and more importantly artifact removal, and its suck a fucking pain on the turn youre about to win it gets burned/disenchanted/naturalized/dark banished etc.

not to mention all the top decks are stupid combo, infinite loop, and storm decks.

i just got back into it lately, started around 4th ed./fallen empires and quitted when weatherlight came out. but now i just want to play again, i guess.
