Received this with my order confirmation for KOF 2K3:

"Your package will ship immediately today. Your preorder is greatly
appreciated and we hope to see you again with our future offerings. In the
very near future (within this week), we will release details concerning
some amazing but very limited SNK Playmore productions for the AES."

How vague... I'm sure this will be interesting. I wonder how this factors in to Ben Herman's infamous quote about not leaving AES owners "out in the cold"? It probably doesn't.

Re-release of Metal Slug AES for 359$, limited to 100 units? :multi_co:

If that happend so many collectors would be miffed about their carts losing value... ( not much but some prolly)

and say folks who just bough Slug 1 JP for 1,300$ on eBay last week... Major DOH!

ugh...

I have a feeling this is going to be the most I have spent on the Neo for any single year. And believe me last year I spent a lot. I am also closing on a house next month. ugh.... I knew I should have started a cheaper addiciton like drugs, whores, alcholism or gambling.

Well we know there will be a Samurai Shodown 5 special release pretty much. so lets see what's left. Poochi y Nyaa, ADK Dance RhythMIX (with limited edition dance Pad controllor :p ) prehaps neo bubble pop from vectorlogic ;) ...hmmmmm I always wanted a Multi cart of all the small unreleased games, but usally there are so many cross licenses that is a impossible dream :(

Nah. As long as there would be some distinction between the two runs (and there will be), this is implausible. In fact, we could have another "collector's piece" in the brewing.
Initial impact? Could happen, but wouldn't last long.

Not really, before the rerelease MS3 price was 450usd and it was going up like 50usd every month.

Just look at the price now...

I would agree, but you have to factor in that the theoretical re-release will be, as stated, strictly limited in addition to being put out very late in the game's lifetime; while in the case of MS3, it was released considerably early yet lasted long enough to moderate the running price for the game before it could be considered as a "collector's piece" *. Meanwhile, MS1 has been around for so long it is seen as a Holy Grail - I don't believe that a differing, say, 100-150 copies could change that perception within collector circles.
Then again, my vision of reality could be skewed. :)

* (with this, I have something like "Stakes Winner" JPN in mind, not high-priced gems like MOTW, which are so good that players seek to pry copies out of an aggregator's hand.)

Maybe that's not game but accessories, like controllers, cables, etc.

New memory cards, maybe? :buttrock:

It must be something "special" to give AES a good end.

Well this might conclude why Ben Herman said "AES owners won't be left out in the cold"

I'm doubting re-releases...

Maybe a Pochi AES?

A compilation cart?

Something really gay with multiple LED's on it?

A proto?

A NOS of AV Cables?

The Adventures of Puffman Dakis and Big Paul?

Damn,

A Pochi US AES for my shelf would have that MINTY FRESH look to it. Make sure you pick up one for me, Tonk. LOL
