I have a few MVS carts which have a silver sealing sticker on the sides that have serial #'s and read "SNK - This product is covered by a 90 day warranty, etc etc etc".

Should all MVS carts have them or just one's that were made in a certain date range? My older carts like Cyber Lip and Magician Lord don't have them. Also, are these usually a good sign that the cart is not a boot or did the counterfeiters find ways to duplicate these labels?

Usually means your cart is legit. I think they put em on the earlier titles, before they had serial #s.

Edit: Also to prevent tampering.

Sounds about right...only my Mutation Nation and World Heroes carts have them...both came out in the 1992 -1993 date range. The carts I own that are older (1991 and below) and newer (after 1993) do not have them, and there is no sign of the sticker ever being there. All my carts are legit too...

Yeah, my older old old older carts have them... i.e. Andro Dunos, Nam 1975, Fatal Fury, etc... If the cart has a sticker I don't ever worry about it being fake (or usually just look through the little vents and leave it like that!)... Anyway, it is only something you will find on the ancient titles...

Hello

I don't have time to check through all my carts as there in shock boxes, but I know I do have quite a few with these stickers on them, but also I recieved a metal slug X yesterday and it's sat in front of me with a nice shining silver SNK sticker on it, usually the sticker is on the side of most of mine but this one is stuck just about where the serial number usually is on the sticker so this must be in place of the number although I can't tell if theres a number underneath actually on the label, I can tell the cart is genuine as it is in a clear green case so I can see through it easily.

Not sure how old this game is but I didn't think it was one of the very old ones.
