A friend just pointed this out , i was like what the hell.

Ever try playing PCE Dracula X with a lower than required system card (ver.1.0, 2.0) ??

Here's what happens.

I can do that on my Xbox when using a lower system card... It puzzled the hell out of me at first...

Any clue what the girl says?

Haha, most of the games when you try to play with lower than required system card have something quirky like that happen :p

Gradius 2 Gofer is another. It's got a superdeformed little vic viper.

I thought this happens when the game is played in a different region (I can be wrong though)

I have a link at home that has some more pics for other games and a video that shows this Dracula X short game. (I'll post it when I return home)

Nope, only on wrong system cards. The CD part of the duo is region free (I use my Drac X on a US Duo).

Yep, I remember the first time I saw that back when I first got in (1993). Try other games as well, since many have neat little extras like that!
