PLEASE POST IF IT WORKS, PARTIALLY WORKS, OR DOESN'T WORK!

THANKS LOADS!

Edit: OK, time to make the big list :)

well, I know one guy has done the cart monitor and one a 17" monitor.....

and I know people are on their "stop posting about the atomiswave" anger movement....but I think this would be good information to have available.

I have gone 0-4 on monitors to get the signal straight in, and I have a chance to walk into a room with 20 various old computers and trade the monitor I have for another one. So..

a brand and model on this one would be a start...but the 17 inch lcd, which I am guessing has the built in amp and sync splitter built in...would definitely be welcome as well...

along with any other!!!

Here's what I have found:

==============================================
Gets the picture, but needs sync to be split first and the pic is off centered:

My old cart IBM 8514 made in 1994 gets the picture off centered and the screen flips upwards, has no way to center the pic...at least that I can find....and has a sync problem because of the verticle sync of the AW not being on pin 14. (it has composite on pin 13)

==============================================
Don't get any signal at all:

My rca mm32110 tv/monitor doesn't get the signal at all.

My cart monitor, MAG innovision model 786M that was made in 2000, doesn't get the picture at all.

My brothers old compaq presario 1425 model 300U, made in 1996 doesn't get any picture at all.

==============================================
(I had another monitor not work, but my bro took it when he moved out so I don't know what type it was. Very NEW monitor though.)

anyone else's working and/or non-working results would be appreciated!!!

thanks :)

By the way... Are you sure you have the correct DIP setting when using the AW in hi-res? I think it's DIP 1 in ON for hi-res, you need it in order to run in a PC regular monitor.

yes, dip 1 is on :) (pushed down)

and thanks Bishamon! It really looks like 17" LCD is the way to go, but dam....they are kinda expensive.

lets keep these coming!!!

Maybe it`s easier to compare these functioning/malfunctioning monitors specs (sync, frequency, pinout, etc), and compare the AW output specs.

And we could be able to define what caracteristcs your monitor must have to be AW compatible.

Or Sammy support service (if it exists) must have it already done. Anyone tried to contact them?

Just my 2 cents.

well, I believe the monitor has to have some sort of sync seperater, as the AW puts out a composite sync signal. Not 100%, but it sounds like a possibility...

I should have another crt monitor up on this list tonight, hopefully working ;)
