Since it's common knowledge that SNKP didn't release an "Official" MVS cart then it's no doubt the best looking GMVS cart I've ever seen as it fool any distribs who don't keep up with the GMVS scene. It's probably a Revision C + (i.e. "Perfect Copy" of the official PCB) with the later style SNKP markings and fake serial numbers with a Kit style box is all. Either way it's GMVS no doubt about it. If an official product DID exist then Shawn would stock it at NEOSTORE.

You got me. That's a pretty nice bootleg. But there have been some great looking boots to come out recently.

;)

I think it would have looked better if the title sticker had said "SNK VS CAPCOM: CHAOS", or even "SVC:CHAOS"... but this sticker just looks dumb imo...

I don't think that anonymizer is what I'm looking for... or am I missing something.

Also the sticker is just like it is on the PCB board so its what I would expect it to be.

Wow 30,000 Yen? Sorry to keep bumping this but would a Japanese member request pictures of the boards from the seller?

actually it's quite accurate. The narrator says "SVC Chaos. SNK vs Capcom" so it's not that dumb... just misplaced

Heh, did anyone check out the posts in the Q&A section of that auction?

They actually mentioned the Neo Store... :p

I know this request is kind of a big one. But since the majority of the members on this forum can't read japanese, but can you or some other japanese speaking member of this forum please translate it?

Its not the best, but I find this translator to be pretty good for obtaining the general meaning of most Japanese text:

eXcite webpage translation

Notice the serial number on the cart 000831... Could this mean that there are at least 831 of these supposed authentics in circulation before a switch to the standard PCB?

I would prefer to see pics of the boards inside the cart, but in the meantime- Does anyone have a SVC pcb with a number less than 000831? (Hoping that in manufacturing the numbers stayed sequential)

*Edit- Just noticed in the Neostore pics, the PCB has no serial on the actual label

The PCBs do have serial numbers they are a separate sticker on the box and at a separate point on the PCB.

Yeah, that's what I figured- I was hoping that they would have stuck to numbering the label since they look exactly like the cart stickers. With the different stickers on the PCB's it would seem that there is a different manufacture count altogether.

I still hope we can see the boards/roms before the game is sold...

I planned on bidding, but at the rate the auction is going it will end way out of my price range.

Its definitley a nice bootleg, but it is what it is: A bootleg. No matter how good it looks, that cannot be changed.

I'm not trying to say that this cart in question is or is not a bootleg, but I will say that while I agree that SNK/Playmore never officially released MVS carts of SVC, it is possible that some carts were actually manufactured before a decision to go the PCB route or to do a second run of carts was finalized. Company product can be leaked, forgotten, stolen, etc.

If by some strange chance this is something that escaped the "dumpster" , You "could" be looking at one of the rarest Neo items ever.

Sometimes what was never said to exist actually does, and authentic doesn't necessarily have to mean official.

In any case, close up board pics can put curiosities and hypotheses to rest, and absolutely no one interested in the real deal should bid on this without at least seeing the workmanship.

Damn. Even though I know that this is a 99% chance that it's a boot, i'd still love to see pics of the boards. Oh well, even if it is legit, the seller will only ship to Japan anyway.

What is the deal with SvC Chaos? Is there ever going to be an MVS cartridge release? Or is it going to be the only "PCB only" release? How come the MVS price guide says "this summer" on SvC Chaos?

Please shed some light on a noob.
