Has anyone had success using a RGB to video encoder with various jamma/mvs boards. Does the jrok or any other encoder work on a boardset such as Galaga (RGB and sync levels are the same as MVS)
????
Thanks
Toddy.

My Jrok works pretty well on most Jamma board sets....

With the "tricky" and "Iffy" boardsets, Some people say that the TV monitor is just as important as the encoder.

I hear that the Analog chipset isn't that great with non MVS stuff.

I have used the Super Nova on a 1FZ and a 2 slot, and they work good. The only problem is that the composite output looks like crap. The svideo doesn't look much better.

I have also tested the nova with CPS-1 and CPS-2 stuff, and they work fine too. And I have tested it on various JAMMA boards including Battle Toads, and Mortal Kombat boards. The Mortal Kombat boards gives one of my monitors problems. But that's due to the monitor, since I hear Midway games uses a weird frequency that Sony moniors don't like. Hope that helps.
