MVS cab power cutting out?

Hi, all. Sorry if this has come up before; my search attempt may have been substandard...

I was playing a newly acquired cart on my 4-slot in my MVS 25, when all of a sudden the power cut out. There seemed to be no other surge or anything throughout the house, so I have no idea what caused this. Tried turning it on again -- nothing. I took the mobo out to look at with my untrained eye, and when I put it back and tried it again, the power came on. I'm just worried that something may be wrong with the cab or mobo, and that I may damage them if I give in to the temptation to sink my head into the sand and pretend none of this happened.

Does anyone have an idea what may have caused this to happen? Thanks.

Thanks for the response and the link, ttooddddyy. I'm pretty new to all things technical, but I knew something like this could come up when I got the cab. I'll try taking a look at it tomorrow and compare it to the PDF. Thanks again!

Good luck
Look at 3,4,C & D these are the 5 volt connections on the edge connector, they should have heavier red wires going to them

Weird. Today I turned on the cab and it worked fine. I played around with the harness wiring to see if I could recreate the problem, but nothing happened. I don't know whether to be happy or more worried.

Okay, done and done. :)

One last paranoid thought out of my system: you don't think it's likely to be something that could fry the board if left unattended? If not, cool -- and thanks again for your help yesterday.
