Well, I'm in chapter 7, and you know what: I just don't care anymore. It's not that the game is bad, it just lacks that feeling of development I look for in games. Not along storylines, but the feelings that happen when you get attached to a game. You have that need to play. With Ninja Gaiden, I'm just bored.

The Levels no longer interest me, and come to think of it, they never really did. I just find the environments stale, save the monistary and airship. The gameplay is actually becoming boring as well. At first, I loved it, but now it just seems tiresome. Block, counter, block counter. Yes, you have to learn the enemy patterns, but in the end: Block, counter. Block, counter. Other games have done this, but managed to make it fun.

It's just not fun anymore.

I am Jack's complete lack of surprise.

Seriously man, I could just tell from the demo this game wasn't worth it.

The story takes too long to get anywhere. There is a major twist but its all the way in Chapter 11 and near the end of the game. To keep the game from getting boring I usually rotate with the weapons and try to get the highest hitting combos with each. The people I know lost interest because the difficulty is too frustrating to them.

I had the same thing happen to me with Resident Evil Zero. Suddenly and completely lost interest. Boy, was I surprised.

Shit man, I gave up on it after the blimp level. I was really disappointed with it.

wow we should throw you a parade, seriously.

this only happens with 90% of gamers, what's the big deal? you shelve it and came come back in a month or two. the only game i've played straight through without a break since the dreamcast days is Halo.

I have a problem, I cannot take seriously people who do not know when and when not to use caps.

70 Million PlayStation2s sold worldwide own your ass.

I just started chapter 7 and I couldn't be more into this game then I am now. The zombie dragon was amazing!

To each his own I suppose.

It might be because I'm not playing this game straight through... probably 1 or 2 stages a night, what's the rush?

Also, block counter block counter? Shoot man, start jumping off the walls and doing all those combos and shit, or the jumping Y attack... you'll have a lot more fun.

I'm suprised to hear this from you man, seriously. Anyway, I've decided to give NG another go, I'm on Chapter 3 and I haven't used an elixer yet. At first I thought this game was just too damn hard, but then I finally realized that it's all trial'n'error; memorize the attack patterns and the game is suddenly a piece of cake.

To anyone who was disappointed with NG, give I-Ninja some play. It's the same trial'n'error type, but at least I-Ninja throws in some Sonic Adventure and FPS-type elements. A worthy rental in my book.

And on a side note, how's the voice feeling today Verbatum?

:spock:

The only nex-gen system I own is an Xbox, and even though the PS2 hardware is the most unreliable piece of junk on the shelf...the PS2's library bitch-smacks Xbox's library on a daily basis. I only wish the Xbox's selection of games was as good.

I can list the decent Xbox games on less than one hand:

Otogi
Jet Set Radio Future
Panzer Dragoon Orta

-And who's the DC fanboy?

I've done all that. It's just not that fun for me in this game. I thought Devil May Cry 2 did the wall run/combo thing to perfection. The Combos in NG are OK (well, the Izuna Drop is pretty rad), but I just don't get a good solid feeling from them.

Otogi 2 is where it's at!!
