After seeing those two gray New Style NG sticks from Neolord's collection, I was curious as to what others consider to be rarities in their collections?

As for me, I'd say it's a toss up between my Pochi and Nyaa MVS kit and my Master of Syougi MVS cart/art set.

Discuss.

Well rarest I guess is my Neo Drift Out kit. But I'm more proud of my cab. Then for rarity but worthlessness the two extra flyers for operators with cabinet setup info that came with my Metal Slug NOS MVS kit are cool.

Meh, that'd probably be my minty US copy of Metal Slug X (or maybe my US Garou is rarer), but I don't really have anything that unusual.

I'd really like to have a copy of Neo Turfmasters to show off :D.

My 2 neo geo bags, ones just a flimsy holdall type and the other is a proper padded carry bag with room for AES,2 sticks and all the leads and a few games.

I don't have anything even remotely rare. The rarest AES game I have is MOTW... (and it's just the JAP version)

Last Blade 1 US AES
Last Blade 2 US AES
Metal Slug X US AES

Some of these may not be rare to some of you but certain titles were a pain in the ass to acquire. Especially Viewpoint. I dont know how many copies I turned down before I got my hands on this one.

I'd have to say either my Legend of Success Joe MVS kit or Neo Mr. Do MVS kit. Although there aren't many Shadow 4's out there...

Some guy named kai (member of the ng.com forums) sold them to me - from the Singapore I believe. Here's the link to that thread:

I was pretty skeptical about the whole thing but I really wanted some old style sticks, so I took a chance on the guy and it turned out pretty good.

that and my Kizuna English MVS kit probably top my list. Although the Magical Drop 3 kit may be about as rare, or at least as desirable.
And a couple Pocket Reversi UK complete carts, although my Mezaze! Kanji Oh and Nige-ron-pa complete carts may be up there too.

Easy - Ghostlop :tickled:

It is too bad that I didn't have the $1,000 (or more) that you wanted for it. :crying: It would have been fun having that game even if I don't even really like puzzle games. I bet it would be cool to bring that game to a Neo gathering. People would pull out their games and people would oooohh and ahhhhh over their stuff but when I would pull out my GhostLop home cartridge, their jaws would hit the floor and I would be the king of the show. I would hang on to that game if I were you because you won't get another one.

As for me, I do have a few rare items but they are mainly conversions. I don't think that people really consider conversions rare Neo Geo collectibles but some conversions are sought after. I think that the !Arcade! ones are the most sought after since they made them in runs of 50 (or so I have been told). Here are some of the conversions that I am kind of proud of:

1. Prehistoric Isle 2 (!Arcade!)
2. Nightmare in the Dark (!Arcade!)
3. Super Dodge Ball (!Arcade!)
4. Shock Troopers (!Arcade!)
5. Ganryu (NGF)
6. Neo Bomber Man (NGF)
7. Money Puzzle Exchnager (NGF)
8. Puzzle de Pon (NGF)
9. Zed Blade (KPJ)
10. Power Spikes 2 (NGF) - super shit!!!
11. Zupapa (NGF) - conversion or bootleg?
12. Breakers Revenge (NGF)

If you don't like those or consider them shit, then I think that you would respect my English copy of Metal Slug 2 (not freaked at all). It would be my most rare and most expensive game. However, many of my conversions cost a shit load of money. Too bad that I will never be able to sell them and make my money back. Oh well, such is life.
