I got this last night but it didn't come with a manual.

What is the small female pin connector for on the front? I aslo went into the settings and saw that it has a stereo mode, does it output stereo through the jamma harness?

stereo comes from the top plug on the front and the bottom plug on the front is VGA out :)

search this forum and I think there are manual scans...

This is not correct, I think that db9 port is for a modem, the stereo port is the CN3, with 10 pins.

oops! yeah, you're right....thanks for the catch! sorry about that!

So you made the stereo work? I'm just wondering, what did you use to connect to CN3? Did the connector come included with your board?

No it didn't come with a connector I made this..

It has 4 little female pins in it that I heat shrunk each one and then put heat shrink over all 4 to make 1 connector.

I did call Sammy to see if I could get one but they told me I would have to get one from a distributor.

If you make one BE CAREFULL with the pins on the Atomiswave cause if the female pins you use are to small you can push the male pins back in the socket on the Atomiswave. If you do push one back flip over the Atomise wave and through the vent holes on the bottom you can see the pins that are soldered on the pc board and go into the socket. If you did push a pin back in the socket you should be able to push it back to the correct place by using a thin screw driver and gently moving it back in place

I'm just wondering, what did you put in the other end of the connector? You hooked it directly to the speakers, or to RCA jacks and then to a stereo system?

EDIT:

Oh well, you already answered here: http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=87291

It doesn't need to be amped it works just hooked up to the speakers.

I guess it already outputs amped sound that can be directly hooked to regular speakers, and I also think it would be possible to wire it to 2 RCA jacks and connect them to a stereo system.

I was asking because it looks like we had trouble making it work connected to a 3.5 mm stereo jack (like the earphones one), due to the fact that in these type of connectors both the left and right audio channels share the same ground, while it is appearently mandatory that the + and - channels go separetely.
