At first I was like "sweet"... and then I saw the price and was like "WTF?"

Let's hope it comes down soon?

Many people were voting that neo-geo.com should sell these, including myself, and now that they are selling them for WAY less that coin-op was FIRST selling them for....nobody's gonna get it because coin-op is only now selling them for $465.....+ the $70 for shipping...

he did only buy 4 kits, so I guess he didn't get such a great deal on them....?

It just seems like it's going to be a little tough trying to test the waters like this.

I'm glad to see them here, but I'm not ready to take the plunge just yet.

Well I'm glad to see that question has been answered. I might get into Atomiswave once I graduate and have enough space for a cab and the such. I don't feel like building a super gun right now :emb:

Only $685.00 with DOLPHIN BLUE huh? *Seems it's more affordable than I was first thinking, and I'm already enamored with Demolish Fist... just might have to snag one of these off of Shawn sometime in July, heck maybe before then. I was mostly holding off cause I thought the A.W. system was going to be $1,000 +

...still I'm going to hold off just a bit.

Wow I didn't even realise that was there...

funny how neo-geo.com or neostore have made no mention of the Sammy Deal... yet this shows up...

For a new system it's not so expensive... even if it's more expensive than any other shops indeed.
For my part I will go into the Atomyswave for sure!
But for instance I have to wait. I haven't baught MS5 nor KOF2k3 cause I don't have enough money yet. Moreover I don't know yet if I'm gonna buy an official Atomyswave cab (my first cab) or just the hardware with a game.
In any ways, if I buy one, it won't be with a Sammy game. I'm an SNKP fan, not a Sammy fan. So for instance I can wait until I have money.

If I had money and if it was and SNKP game I would probably buy it... (with an official cab??... don't know)

What are talking about!? Neostore offers the Atomiswave WITH Dolphin Blue! Coin-op is selling JUST the system for "100$ less". If you were to buy the system an DB from coin-op, it would be over 850$!

The Neostore is selling these at a PHENOMENAL price.

Well according to the coinop site when you click on Dolphin Blue it says "Product Detail" Motherboard, Software Cartridge

erm..no, coinop express's dolphin blue includes a mobo at $465. The main difference being that Shawn's kits are NEW and coinop's are used. If you factor in shipping cost you save the price is still good though.

Humm... When it will occure, the price will be up. now, what we can see are special offers to launch the Atomis. After this year or the next yar it will drop. After the release of 2 other sammy games and the 2 KOF + MS6 the price will probably increase.

Oh, yeah. My bad. So I guess Neostores prices are pretty average.

What do you need to run an Atomiswave mobo? Just a supergun - or can it be hooked straight up to a tv?

If u need a supergun will the neo-store be stocking the relevant hardware?:spock:

A while back (I do mean at least 18 monthsor more) Shawn had one or two superguns... they may have been trade ins tho and not bought in stock...

It'd be nice if he offered an all in package... that is if the AW needs a supergun...

superguns yup, why not.
But the frequency of the signal is higher than the one on the TV. (according to what I heard). So the result won't be as good as you would run the game on an arcade cabinet. For the MVS it was perfect... but not for the Atomis.

Anyway, the supergun is good alternative...

I'm considering buying an official tomiswave cabinet... don't know the price yet.

You certainly can't hook it up to a TV out of the box. So yes, supergun or better (and cheaper) consolization.

The AW has a dual video output: from the jamma connector it's low res like the Neo Geo (so a supergun will do) and from the VGA connector it's hi res so you need a PC monitor (or a TV that can handle VGA).
