I was looking through that one issue of GameGo and in the back there is an ad for a combo AES/MVS console. It was offered by a company called Arcade Solutions. Does anyone know if it ever came out? Is the company still around? I'd love to get ahold of that machine, it's such a cool concept.

Like GameGo, the machine dissapeard. !Arcade! did offer some nice products though. Their website was www.neogeousa.com but I am not sure if they are still around. I dealt with Ray from !Arcade! and had nothing but a good experience.

ECM is a faggot by the way.

I remember that advert actually... remember wanting that thing badly but I don't remember it ever coming out. But wouldn't Consolized MVS setups more or less be this thing anyhow, minus the ability to play the AES carts?

Heh, I remeber buying that particular magazine beause I heard about that ad and wanted to see it for myself. I remember there being a contest to name the unit, and whoever's name got picked would win one, but I don't think anyone ever won it. If I remember correctly, there was a poll on here or on the Arcade forums to see how many people showed interest in buying one and how much they were willing to pay. If I remember correctly alot of people loved the idea, but didn't want to pay what Arcade was asking, so it never took off. Only one was made and the guy that runs Arcade owns it.

I imagine someone around here could build a AES/MVS system, I'm sure of it.

It was called the AES2. It never came out due to a lack of interested as a result of the retail price. Sure, some one could make one of thier own but it would be far from cost efficient.

Robert Wallace expressed interest in making one if he could get his hands on a AES board. I'm not sure if he's still going through with it though? I would be interested in picking one up!
