What is your favorite non-mainstream Neo fighter. (No Fatal Fury, KOF, AOF, Sam Sho, Real Bout, games)

Mine is Matrimelee - music, unique gameplay, fresh new characters (at least for me), unique fighting system, and just pure fun!

Breakers is badass imo, though ADK is neat also.

Matrimelee is my fav. I don't know why so many people knocked this game when it came out, because its fun as hell to play.

kizuna encounter since the only other one i've played from that list is rage of the dragons and i didn't like it that much.

I had to vote for Kizuna. It plays almost like some whacked-out futuristic Real Bout sequel with its combination arts-like engine and descendant-of-Kim character (the end of his DM even has a phoenix coming out of the ground like in RBS). The main real thing holding this game back is the roster; if it had more than 4 cool characters, who knows how well it might have done...

Although I've only played (literally) a couple matches, Matrimelee would be runner up on principle alone, because I love a lot of the characters and am a big fan of Power Instinct 2. Just played the ST-V again a couple weeks ago and it's still fun as hell. Since then I've even broken out the PS port.

You know what's the saddest thing about your Poll...

The mere fact that in all the 13 years of owning a NEO AES, I have not played ANY of those.

No Waku Waku 7 and Last Blade series? Well Last Blade might be mainstream, but it only has 3 games, 2 AES/MVS, and 1 pocket.

my favorites are waku waku 7 and kizuna encounter, but since ww7 isn't on the list, kizuna it is.

Thats a shit list of ten there. I would pick savage reign for the kings voice only as sounds as cool as fuck.

I remember when I first got the game on neo cd and I kept playing it over and over and even phoned up my friend so he could hear those immortal words

it's all about BREAKER'S REVENGE! how that's not on the options list for this poll is beyond me. It's not exactly a "mainstream" VS.FIGHTING GAME, but it's clearly one of the best.

Much love for the beautiful ADK. :) I love that game. Ever since I saw it, and the quirkyness of the game, I knew I had to have it. I recently bought it like a month ago. Much fun to be had. I'm glad to see 4 other people voted for it. :)
