So what do you think KOF 2004 is going to be? A dreammatch, or a continuation of the story since 2003?

I think it would be great if they put together another dream match this year with EVERY CHARACTER THAT HAS BEEN IN KOF. It's actually possible with this new hardware, isn't it?

Just wondering what you guys think.

Probably be a "Dream Match". If it is it would be nice if we got to see some old SNK characters pop up as selectable characters though like:

Snake from P.O.W. (Arcade version)
Ryu Sabea from BURNING FIGHT
Spike Haired Kid from LEAGUE BOWLING (why not, Choi is a fuckin' joke anyhow)

i would say it is a continuation of 2003 b/c KOF 98 and KOF 2002 r dream matches. so 2006 will be a dream match. :smirk:

I hope that they continue the tradition, thus no DreamMatch until 2006.

Maybe, but then what exactly will KOF NEO WAVE be then? Or is KOF 2004 and KOF Neo Wave two different games all together. I figured it was one and the same, and having a storyline carry over to peeps who may have either stopped playing the games some time ago, or Johnny-come-latelys checkin' out what they'll see has bitchin' high res graphics wouldn't understand a continuing storyline. I'm thinking that whatever the next KOF is, any story will be about as card board as the premise behind your actions in Metal Slug 5.

2003 picks up a brand new storyline that doesn't look like it's going to die down anytime soon. After the whole NESTS ordeal, we had 2002 for a forray into the Dream Match realm. Just like everyone mentioned above, SNKP will probably continue on the tradition they've had going. I'm sure KOF NeoWave will satisfy your urge for a slew of characters, since so far its somewhat heading that direction. I truly hope 2004 continues the awesome storyline 2003 started, and they keep the tag team option - totally rocks!!

I believe that they'll try a Dream Match for '04, only to show off in the new hardware.

And of course, they will not spend all their ammo outting ALL the characters in one game... and what will happen to KOF'05?

Personally, I prefer a sequel of the '03 'storyline'.

Here's my predictions, KOF 2004 will be a dream match and KOF 2005 will go back to the story but will have new graphics for the characters.

I'd like Duck King in the next Dream Match...having him as a mere Striker in 2K wasn't enough for me...

I think it'll be a continuation of 2003. The Dream Matches come in 4 year spurts (so far), and it's just a nice way to start things over after a story has been completed. Orochi saga, then a Dream Match before the NESTS story started. That ended in 2001, and the Dream Match in 2002. Now in 2003 they started what might be Orochi again (which rules!)
