LED questions for supergun

Hello everybody. I am looking to install an LED powerlight in the face of my supergun, but I know absolutely nothing about them. I am running a standard cab powersupply with a +12, +5, and -5. What type of LED do I need? Do I need anything else? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the best way is to use the 5V line, and a normal LED.. you will have to add a resistor, and calculate the right value for it.

a standard red LED would for example require a 100 ohm resistor.
