Since so many people have been asking tech questions about the Atomiswave, I thought it might be nice to have a thread with plenty of info, observations, and experiences using the Atomiswave. Together, we can help each other out with problems, and anything that might occur. Plus, folks who are looking into getting one, could benefit from out experience.

Let me start: Has anyone ran into any problems with thier system, or anything that they can't figure out?

Let's start there, and we can add more as we go, OK?

I'm not sure if this is exactly what you mean, but...eh.
Here are my questions:

1.) If I were to get a new Atomiswave (ie. Board + GG1.5 set), would I be able to play it on my home-made NEO supergun out of the box?

-My Super gun is set up JAMMA standard.
-It works with the MV-1 board.

2.) What options are there for sound? For Example: Does it have any on board audio setups(like the MV-1 stereo out) or can you only go through the JAMMA?

3.) What is the setup for the audio through JAMMA?(ie. What JAMMA pins are they on?) Is it JAMMA standard or a custom setup? (By custom, I mean like how NEO-standard cabs have a non-JAMMA standard setup.)

4.) What is a useful setup for 5-button games? I already have NEO-setup controllers(4-button) and need to know if it matters where the 5th button goes. (Like, Can it go up by the start button?)

- Neo-setup:
--BCD
-A

Thanks :D

You should be able to play it without problems.

2.) What options are there for sound? For Example: Does it have any on board audio setups(like the MV-1 stereo out) or can you only go through the JAMMA?

You can take mono sound from the JAMMA connector. There's also a special connector in the board from where you can get stereo sound directly, but it's not standar.

3.) What is the setup for the audio through JAMMA?(ie. What JAMMA pins are they on?) Is it JAMMA standard or a custom setup? (By custom, I mean like how NEO-standard cabs have a non-JAMMA standard setup.)

I think is JAMMA standar.

4.) What is a useful setup for 5-button games? I already have NEO-setup controllers(4-button) and need to know if it matters where the 5th button goes. (Like, Can it go up by the start button?)

The fifth button should be used in gameplay (the games that use it, that is), so it should be somewhere near the other 4 buttons, definately not where it is the start button.

I'm an idiot when it comes to Atomiswave and Superguns, but I'm interested in getting one. I have no experience with PCBs or arcade units. How would I go about hooking this up? I've seen pics of the MV units going into a supergun. Would the Atomiswave board go in the same way? If someone could give me a brief desciption or pictures of a atomiswave setup, it would be appriciated.

How would the Atomiswave work in an MVS cab? Do you just plug in the Jamme connector and BOOM - it's ready to go? What other connectors need to go in?

Justdefend: as I said many times, it *should* work in a MVS cab, but if the cab is wired for stereo then you might need to rewire the sound.

which is as simple as taking to little quick disconected wires off one of them (the + or - wire) and connecting it to the speaker with the other + or - not having each grounded.
