I am working on homebuilt joystick controllers for my consolized 2-slot. I have inbound a couple of 10' PC joystick extension cables, and I bought a couple of 15-pin d-sub female connectors to surface mount on the sticks. I am concerned that the depth of the controller ports on the MV-2F is going to be too great for the female connector on the joystick extension cable to make contact with the controller port pins. From the picture of the extension cables on the dealer's web site, the outside of the female (and male) connector is metal-covered, so shaving it down would be pretty much out. Has anyone encountered this, and if so, how did you solve the problem?

nice idea...

and you could always fix up one of those grey db-15 backs that cover it up.

I have since used a Solder tail Dsub 15 male. It shortens it quite a bit....
