This idea involves adding a new forum, but imho would be a better way to break posts up into catagories. Get rid of the seperate buying and selling forums, and just have one trading forum but broken down into different systems;
NeoGeo AES (Home Cart Sys)
NeoGeo MVS (Arcade Cart Sys)
NeoGeo Other (CD, Pocket, Hyper64)
Everything Else
My arguements behind this suggestion are;
1- The current wanted forum seems underused; most people just trawl the selling forum for what they want and people with goods to sell often don't check the wanted forum.
2- Sellers often forget to specify what system their goods are for, leading to confusion between AES/MVS and sometimes even console ports.
3- There is still no clear home for CD, Pocket and Hyper64 trading threads, with some being posted in the forum belonging to that system, others being posted in the selling forum. It would be easier to trade goods for these niche systems if they had their own trading forum.
I would also argue that the addition of two further forums could be considered;
Console (Sega, Nintendo, Sony etc)
Arcade (JAMMA, CPS2, Naomi, STV etc)
There is a fairly high degree of crossover with AES collectors also being interested in other consoles and ports of NeoGeo titles, and MVS collectors also being interested in other arcade systems. The current system of restricting arcade selling threads and console selling threads (save ports of NeoGeo titles) to everything else; a forum largely for the casual browser and those flush with cash, greatly reduces the accessability of trades for said systems. The current Everything Else forum is seriously cluttered with a large variety of different items. Adding new forums for Console and Arcade goods would eliminate this problem. It would also give a natural home for the Atomiswave trading threads we're inevitably going to see in the future...
