Most NGCD, as with Sega CD, Sega Saturn, and some PC ports, use CD Audio for BGM. If you have Samurai Shodown for NGCD, just pop it into the CD player of your choice and enjoy!

Does the NGCD version have the Arranged soundtrack? Also, are the songs the full versions you would find on the AST, or is it like SS3 for PSX, where the sound stops midsong?

Just asking because, I love the AST, but getting the NGCD version looks like it'll be easier than the real CD soundtrack at this point.

Truthfully, I don't own, nor have I ever seen a NGCD. It's a tidbit I picked up while reading through other forums. Though BeezleBubble or SouthTownKid may be able to tell you better. (Although they appear more brushed up on Garou series games than Samurai Shodown.)

Knowing that the NGCD were done in-house by SNK, I'd think it's perfectly save to assume that they use AST. Especilly since thats what they did with the PSOne and Saturn ports.

I'd still expect it to stop about mid-track. To this day I've wondered what the end of Franco Bash's track has sounded like. (As my interplay-devoloped FF3 PC port only goes so far. Unless you set round time to 99, you'd never notice it in-game.)

If you think getting the NGCD version for a decent sound-track is worth it, go for it! You're not out much money, and you still get the tunes.
