Are the low prices for SS5 and KOF2K3 for the weekend only?

I wanted to make sure so it means I better get it now, right. I just thought I would ask cuz I wasn't sure if this was ever done before.

The prices we are seeing now on MVS are beating out even HK shops. Which means, yes, they are going back up. Now, eventually they will be down lower than this, but if you want something now... it's a great oppertunity to save some cash. I didn't think we'd see KOF03 sub $200 before summer, so... fantastic price on that, however remember that KOF on the MVS always plumits in price... look at KOF02 for an example... SS5 isn't much of a surprise with the update coming out in three weeks, I expect that as soon as SS5S comes out SS5 will be well below $100.

MVS is always a waiting game, wait and buy at the price you want to pay. They always go down, and these aren't the lowest these carts will go, but if you are a collector (who may find waiting will bring less 'minty' items or risk of non-complete kits), or someone who wants the games now... buy!

This is a great deal for a kit and a game that's received much fanfare. A loose SSv cart may go for 70.00 if you can find one loose.. I think the days of dirt cheap loose carts are over when it comes to the more recent titles..
There's just too many boots floating around to take the gamble on purchasing a loose cart and bothe Shawn and Vinh are reputable sellers so I state that the best time to get SSV would be this weekend fur sure!!
I am not sure what the original price of SSv was..but when the sale is over, the value of my purchase will jump by at least 50.00 USD

I promise you this isn't the lowest price these carts will sell for in the Neo Store... I am not talking loose carts on ebay, these prices will come down. They have to come down... the MVS is losing interest in the arcades and we simply are not a large enough customer base to support all the carts. Prices will come down on official carts, they won't go up, that is a collector's dream I believe... notice how everyone is keeping full minty kits... a loose cart is more rare these days ;)

I agree, this weekend is a great time to buy, but I am sure the prices will be lower in time.

How low do you believe the kits can fall??
Is it enough to warrant waiting in the case of SSV?? Even if a SSV kit drops to 85.00 which I highly doubt,it's only 15 bucks...hardly not enough to wait imo.
You are underestimating the MVS user base....and when most of these kits GO,they'll most likely be gonbe for good from the reputable stores.. A-S hardly has any stock of kits on hand now...

Well looking only at history, we see a newer Samauri Shodown title is worth anywhere from $35-50, kits are a touchy subject since most people believe they hold a higher value. Of course the truth is that all newer games are being kept in kit form so it is only the older games that are valuable kits. For this reason I see that kits of newer games will sell for roughly what loose carts of similar games sold for in the past. It is all economics at this point. It depends on the supply, and surely the demand is dwindling.

History shows us that a KOF game is worth even less. Looking at historical data we see that a KOF game typically will fall to around $100 and then slowly decline from there to around $60-75. Of course as time goes on these prices fall even lower.

I am not telling someone to wait, I merely think people should pay what they are comfortable on MVS stuff, since the price is much more likely to go down then up. How much further, and in what form (be it kit or loose) is all unknown. As an MVS gamer for me the idea is I don't give a shit about the extras that come with the cart. Honestly, all the posters, flyers, stickers, and other crap mean nothing more than more shelf space, and I'd rather just have the cart to throw in a shock box... hehe... you should appreciate that.

Again, great prices this weekend. I don't believe they are the lowest we will see on these kits before they sell out, but really good none the less, and the prices are lower then I would have expected for this time in their life cycle. As for SS5, I'll reiterate what I said in another thread. I'd buy SS5 for $99, since the cheapest we will probably see it this year is $65 or so... and that may or may not be a kit. The $99 is a good price to have it now and enjoy it while it is still a relatively new title... however with SS5S looming three weeks away, I think I would rather have the Special version than the original. As for KOF03... it's still to high for me, however when it hits $125 or so I will probably crack,

If you buy SSV now for $99, you get to play it for as long as you'd like NOW. If it goes down in price, and who knows when it will... that's a long time to wait, if ever it happens.

Bottom line, I almost shitmyself when I saw SSV for $99. Cmon that's friggin cheap people.
