I have SVC Chaos (PCB version) and it looks like it is missing a rom?

Sorry for the shitty pic, camera is low on battery power.

What's the deal? Are all boards missing this one? I've hooked it up and it runs, but I haven't played it extensively yet.

Okay I got a bigger/clearer picture now

Like I said it seems to work fine, but I haven't tested it fully since I don't have my case completed yet. (No controllers to hook it up to)

Looks like some repair work was done as there are some wires connecting a few points that aren't on the board I have.

That's my thought on the traces on the board (red, blue, white)

Can you post a picture of your board?
if you can't email it to me and I'll host it.

I just want to see how many different versions of this board are out there.

I'll have to remember to take a pic of it when I get home from work.

That board looks like it may be fine. The place in the lower left of the pcb is fine, there is no rom soposed to be there. The only question remains of the missing rom in the v2 location. Side affect of that v2 rom being missing will be garbled sound as those roms are encrypted.

I have seens SVC boards with 2 C ROMs and 2 V ROMs so in theory a board with 4 C ROMs may only need 1 V ROM as there are chips large enough to hold all the data. That would also explain the extra wires on the pcb.

Like I say, if sound is working fine then you have nothing to worry about there.
