Want red blood in my games

Hi I'm new to the neo geo system. I have a neo geo gold(american I guess) and I heard it won't show red blood or the finishing moves in the samurai showdowns. Now I pretty much bought the system for these 2 games and the KOF games. I've read that there's someting you can put in the system to make it uncensored. I have a few questions 1.what is it? 2.Where can I find one? 3.Is it easy to put in? 4.If it isn't is there any one around the cleveland area who can do it? Thanks :buttrock:

I think some of the SS games still have blood on the American versions. You can buy a mod chip from the Neostore. Yes, you would need someone to install it.

How hard is it to put in because I've never done anything like this before and I don't want to ruin my neo geo because I'm an idiot.

You need good soldering skills to do it yourself. There are a number of people here that can do it for you. I'm too new to remember the names, so someone else will have to post.

I did mine myself.

I got an American version of SS and a Japanese AES system. I still get the blood right?

yep that should do it, and check out some of the weird prefight quotes...

here's one I remember when I played it on a Jap NEO CD:

What do you mean by fatalities, i never knew there were finishing like moves? Anyways...To the owner of this thread, if you want to sell your usa aes system to me...pm me w/ a price and i may take it off your hands and you can pick up a japanese one if you want blood. Dont keep your system and solder yoiurself a mod because you may damage something big time...Paying for it can be pricey at times...let me know....
