One of my AES carts has a problem. The charater select screen is pixalated/blurry every time I go to play but after about 2 min of the game playing, it isn't pixalated anymore...

It feels like after the cart has warmed up a little the game plays fine. Its kinda annoying.

Any ideas what the problem might be?

Have you tried giving the carts connectors/AES connectors a good cleaning..?

A dirty connection between the AES and carts connectors may be causing this and getting better as it sits in the AES a bit longer..

I also think this could be caused by the AES prongs being bent back too far..worn
One or more prongs within the system may be bent back too far/weak and slowly bends closer(back) to he cart while the cart is sitting in the system..

The carts boards may be a bit warped too..

How do I clean the contacts on the cart and system?

I leave the cart inserted even after i'm done playing. Then I turn it back on later and the game is pixalated/blurry again. 2 min later, everything is fine. It's got to be the cart...

Same as cleaning MVS....(Pwer Off/Unplugged)

As listed at Briggs site.

http://www.hardmvs.com/html/projects.htm

I use(Dry) Green Scotch Brite....on the carts prongs & a Cardboard nail file for the connection prongs in the system..

I only used the Cardboard nail file once on my older AES and it works perfectly..
