allright i just ordered metal slug 5 since ive heard alot of good things about the entire series

ive played verry little of the metal slugs b4
what i wanted to know is what i can expect from this game
im not sure if the controls are the same as when i last played a metal slug ( i played a little of my friends metal slug x a few years ago) but i dont know if things have changed alot since x or not

im mainly a fighting game freak but i have just decided i would like to expand my collection to more then just fighters and so i figured metal slug 5 was the way to start

so if anyone knows any sites besides gamefaqs.com that could give me a heads up as to what to expect that would be awesome

thanx

tips?

when you have the heavy machine gun, shooting stuff in the air.. dont hold UP + keep tapping A, this wastes ammo, I find if you UP+A,UP+A in varitiation of timing, this gives you an arc of fire , covering the whole sky apart from whats behind you, while walking around up+a'ing and varying intervals you can tap C still to throw a grenade out, killing things side to side.

meh

I'm a newb to Metal Slug as well.

I just picked up a minty AES MS3 from Nexwave (Video games and entertainment) on these boards.

The game has animations beyond belief. Unbelievable hilarious detail. What I always dreamed 2D games could be, this game delivers it.

If any game is worth $300USD in this world, this game is it.

I got out of console games in 94, after 6 moths of owning a SEGACD that I bought at launch. Everything I'd hoped back then, that CD tech would deliver to my gaming experience, the NEO is the only system that actually delivers it.

Thank You SNK! Better late than never for me.

well its been a while and i can honestly say im not one bit dissapointed with my buy
im considering buying a metal slugx soon
or a slug 3 since its the main slug people talk about

as i said b4 im a newbie to the slug games so i really cant compair slug 5 to anything else but what little ive played of slugx on my friends neo so i dont see why everyone disslike it so much i think its one of my smarter buys for the neo in recent time

i have heard rumor of so called hidden paths in the slug games can anyone tell me how to find a few if there are any in slug 5

If you like Slug 5 then you are in for a big surprise. MS5 is the worst in the series in my opinion. You will be blown away by the other slugs.
