OMFG this game is AWESOME!!!!!

I can't get enough of this game. I never thought I would say this but, I think this is better than Metal Slug and thats hard to beat. Sweet game!

I dunno about being better than Metal Slug...

but its a damn fine game.

Hey I love the METAL SLUG games and will eventually own all FIVE of them, but IMO Shock Troopers has always OWNED the MS games. While it might well be the "fully realized" version of Capcom's Commando II: MERCS and not an original concept, much as the MS games are basically much better playing and looking w. some minor parody/gag issues of Konami's Gryzor/Contra games... to me Shock Troopers just has more of an intense "FEEL" to it.

So welcome to the Shock Troopers Family Neo-weirdo, there's a few of us on these boards who know that S.T. is the best RGS game on the NEO and probably one of the best ever made for any system or arcade period. *The sequel (if you haven't played it) is equally impressive, but it lacks the "RAW" seriousness of S.T. #1

i love this game. as you can tell by my sig, it's one of my top ten neo games. anyone else ever feel like they're playing G.I. joe while playing this game? those enemies all remind me of the cobra troopers.

YES! I was going to post about how this reminds me of G.I Joe too I'm a fan of G.I Joe so thats one of the reasons I love ShockTroopers so much.

This game is now going to be my next purchase. You guys made me want it even more. If it is really better than slug then I will be one happy camper.

I can't believe I missed this thread, apparently I need to check this forum more often :O

YES. Another person has seen the light and realized it's better than the Metal Slug's. I'm always happy to see people come around Now keep playing and go for the one-credit finish!

Unfortunately, playing with blood off is a necessity if you want to break 30 million points... personally it doesn't bother me that much because the novelty wears off after a while and you need to be getting a lot of close-range attacks anyway...
