Are they a publicly traded company either here or Japan? Anyone know their symbol if they are?

I don't really think they are. The best thing to do is find the nikkei index on the internet or a japanese paper and look for the logo snkp or plmr or something like that.

I think you're right too. SNKP does not appear to be a publicly traded company at the moment, at least according to the "company profile" page (found on: www.snkplaymore.co.jp ). I couldn't find a ticker symbol or any data pertaining to Japanese stock exchanges. They do list their current capital, date of incorporation, banks, etc.

They're a public company.

Their official name is Дޮ‰ïŽÐSNKƒvƒŒƒCƒ‚ƒA kabushiki gaisha SNK pureimoa.

Kabushiki gaisha means 'corporation'. Kabushiki means 'stock', and gaisha means 'company'.

Do you happen to know what the symbol would be for their company?

I'd be intersted in watching their stock prices and possibly investing.

I'm guessing that he's referring to the ticker symbols used here in the US, when you look at a stock page they use symbols for all the companys such as SNK instead of Shin Nihon etc etc. I don't know if they do this in Japan.

Thats the one. The symbol, usually a 3 or 4 letter acronym that you could look up a company by in the financial newspaper or so.
