Ive just about completed a hand drawn schematic for the MVS-MV6 digital and analog sound circuits, literally from the carts sound ROMs to the speakers. Missed out the multi-slot cart data switching ICs as they make it hard work.
It maybe usefull for sound or Z80 error problem trouble shooting.

Finally got pin-outs for the YM 2610 ADPCM proc, Z80 CPU, 6116 SRAM, SM1 sound ROM, YM 3016 DAC, LM324 & BA 4558 op-amps and the HA 13001 audio output IC. Will also include the volume and headphone pots.

To make it presentable downloaded a demo of Smartdraw, Ive had some success but having difficulty inserting the pin ID text inside the component blocks. Ill play around with it a bit more. Any recommendations for any other type of easy to use schematic design progs. Would like to html link to the data sheets by clicking on the device.

I'm just wondering if this could be used to convert my mono MV-1A to stereo... :drool_2:

Im not really sure Amano, it seems that the serial data is inputed into the DAC on pin 5 and the L & R analog outputs (on a stereo board) go out on pins 10 and 11 to the op-amps.

The YM2610 has a stereo enable function from what I can understand, so the two channel combining on a mono board would go on there I guess, the data sheet has been translated from Japanese so its not 100% clear to me.

If this is the case it would be only one channel mono data into the DAC on a mono board. So some way of forcing the YM2610 processor to output stereo would be required (this is getting out of my depth)

I dont have a mono MVS board to test at the moment.
