I just picked up a sigma 7000 supergun, w/ 2 controllers, and a 6-slot MVS, plus a few games.

Some pics of my loot in this thread : http://www.neo-geo.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=83153

good shit so far, but i have a few questions for the experts:

Is there an s-video cable for the sigma? that i can just go grab from g-front next time? the composite video output is ok, but not fantastic.

how do i wire up a game switch button? It cycles through the games, but i would like a button (there isnt one on the control stick)

And last, the 'D' button is in a less than perfect position (button 4 on the stick, just below the 'A' button).
Is there an easy way to move the buttons around. probably the best layout would be: 4-A, 1-B, 2-C, 3-D
but im open to suggestions.
maybe an adapter that would plug inline with the cable to switch pins? id rather not permanatly rewire the buttons, as i may start picking up other arcade boards to use with the supergun.

Thanks!

The S-Video cable for the Sigma Superguns seems like a hard item to find but it can be made very easily.

There was a post with the pinout of the S-Video Socket for the Sigma 6000. I'll do a search for it and post the link here if I find it.

The select button is an easy one to do also, you can buy a small push button switch and wire it up to the Jamma Adapter that comes with your Sigma if you want.

When I had the Sigma 6000 there was a small button hooked into the adapter. It was for the test switch, if Im not mistaken.

*****EDIT*****

I found this link, it looks like the Sigma S-Video Pinout is posted here:

Thanks Robert.

I dont have any of my electronics tools here, so ill try and find a sigma s-vid cable at g-front or somewhere first.

bah.. i may have to just buy some tools.. but i dunno how often i would use them after this bit of fiddling.

Anyone have any ideas for remapping the button layout (non permanently)?

I think you can just open up your joystick and arrange the button layout anyway you want it.

Those buttons are easily removable and can be rearranged in just a few mins start to finish. That would be easier than making the S-Video cable.

The only tools you need to make the cable are a pair of wire strippers and a soldering iron. If you dont want to buy the tools then have someone make it for you. Ask a computer shop for help, someone in their tech/repair dept. may do it or know someone who can.;)
