With some of the stuff I've got in mind that could've been done on the NEO, and knowing full well that SNKP was just getting into their groove... Realistically I believe the MVS could've been developed for and distributed till about 2006 or 2007, by spreading out the games and the fact that one solid game that would damn near make the hardware melt to run the games would have taken at least a year and a half to complete. Just as the later MEGA DRIVE games did things it wasn't supposed to do, so could the NEO:GEO. *I have a RGS game in design (picture Shock Troopers, scalling suddenly into a "Devastators" mode in Faux 3-D, and even occassionally going into NAM-1975 mode at times, having THREE distinct play mechanics you'd have to learn depending on the POV it took in the ensuing chaos). Something like this could have been done, with original characters etcetera, but it wasn't. Even on Hyper 16-Bit hardware people would say WTF! upon seeing it. *But on that note I'm going to try and get that particular RGS game made with anyone who might be interested, but I had to use that as an example of what SNKP was capable of, but either didn't think about it, or wanted to "walk the walk" and execute it.
...there's still more there than meets the eye, but it really is up to us die-hards now to keep it going.
