How rude!

Thanks for pointing this out leepantalone. Yes, it's Buy-Rite, their feedback profile should have given this away (205 negatives this year, and nearly as many neutrals).

I will email Mark immediately to file a complaint. Btw, his NG.com Buy-Rite website is already littered with pics ripped from NG.com.

Here's one that most people wouldn't notice, but I sure do. Took this picture of my old 4-slot next to my mini cab, you can tell by the glare on screen with Kaede on Last Blade 2. See here at Buy-Rite: http://www.buyritegames.com/product_list.asp?dept=1112&last=1016

Then see the original pic on my collection page:

That's not what shocked me... it was the 75 negative feedbacks and 38 neutrals in the past month

I don't care how much crap you sell, if you get 75 negative feedbacks in a month time there is no way in hell you should be allowed to stay on eBay or any auction site for that matter.

Thing is, I did watermark my cab that they ripped. They removed the Neo-Geo.com watermark that was over the cabinet (dead center).

It doesn't really matter what you put on the pics, cause you can always take it off. Either in Photoshop or Pitstop, you just need to so people can't take the pics from your site.

Good point, so the watermark doesn't even have to go over the item, can just be in the corner not even touching the item and be just as effective? Like I did wish US SSV AES perhaps?

With today's technologies and graphic programs, it's pointless to put a "Watermark" on them. It's just as effective to put it on the side like the SS5. Might as well make it a nice design. I've got programs with plug ins, where i can seperate many different levels of graphics and manipulate them. Pointless for a watermark, I think. I believe there is some html coding where you can't take pics from web sites. But I'm not a web expert. I think some porn ones have them, you might do some research with porn sites and then look at the source code. Just a suggestion.

There's really nothing you can do...

I would just put the watermark of the hardest to duplicate part of the picture - like the cover of the game. Also shooting back from and angle and not face on makes it harder to do a cut and paste job to cover the watermark.

on some applications, you don't have to cut and paist, it just a matter of clicking on what you want. I can do that in Pitstop, click on some text and manipulate it or erase it. It's kind of like alarms on cars, if someone ones it bad enough they are going to take it.

I noticed that people were doin the same thing to Ernie at EHOWA.com and he somehow made it so you can't copy the pic and so that when you click on the picture it takes you back to the main page. Is it possible you could also do that shawn or would they somehow be able to rip the picture outta your HTML code?

Disabling right click and such is only a temp fix for those who are not so adept with computers. There are plenty of ways to snag a pic by means other than clicking.

But there are ways to encode pictures with the neo geo.com text so if someone steals it, it will be easy to catch because within the jpeg will be neo geo.com. You can't see it with the naked eye but by a special program it will show it. I know a few companies that do that to catch people who steal from them but don't want to put any marks on the pics.

Man, if that isnt a blatant rip off, I dunno what is. You can see the huge white section on the bottom where the watermark was cut off. Jesus those guys just playin fucking suck.

It's not even worth worrying about in all honesty...
It's not the pic people are going to worry about.
If he does'nt produce what he displays,it will be him who suffers the negative feedback, not N-G.com...
plus everybody who's anybody KNOWS that those photos are property of N-G.COM
Don't even sweat it,it's just a pic and really does'nt affect N-G.com in any real way...
The Buyrite guy is a scumbag..the more you try to deter folks, the more they will have a go at stealing them..

If you "Flatten Image", it removes the Photoshop layers such that the text becomes part of the image, destroying the original underneath it. Then you'd have to not only remove the text by selecting the "like" colors, but you'd actually have to recreate the image that was originally under the text. That would make doing all this worthless and a waste of time.

Comes in handy for testing Jamma PCB releases. I prefer using old-style controllers w/ Super Neo on a 34" Sony Wega XBR (tube tv).
